Legendary hard rock band Guns N’ Roses have announced that they are bringing their 2025 world tour to Abu Dhabi.
Taking the stage at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island on May 27, the band will be returning nearly two years after their last sold-out performance in the UAE capital.
The world tour and their stop in the UAE will give fans the opportunity to witness the influential band perform some of their biggest hits including, Sweet Child O’ Mine, Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door, Welcome To The Jungle and November Rain. The last song listed has surpassed over two billion views on YouTube, making it one of the most viewed rock videos of all time.
Formed in 1985, the band have enjoyed international success since the release of their debut album Appetite for Destruction in 1987. Across their six albums, they have fused punk rock, blues rock, hard rock, heavy metal and glam metal and created some chart=topping hits that have defined an era.
With total album sales of 100 million units so far, their catalogue also includes G N’ R Lies and Greatest Hits, both of which went five times platinum. The Spaghetti Incident? and Chinese Democracy also went platinum.
Guns N’ Roses are also one of the most-streamed rock bands in the world with an average of 24 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 10.26 billion total streams across their tracks, beating out Nirvana, The Rolling Stones and Kings of Leon.
The band's original members, vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, have been supplemented by newer members, guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese. They have received Grammy award nominations and won MTV Video Music Awards, American Music Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
Tickets, starting at Dh295, will be available at Live Nation’s website on January 30 from 1pm.
